Who is responsible?
Seekzl is published by BnC Consulting SAS (Bits’n Coffee), Lille, France, SIREN 879 608 040, represented by Clément Sauvage. We are the controller for processing carried out for the app. Contact: hello@bitsncoffee.fr. Full company details are available in the publisher’s legal information.
Your games, iCloud and Game Center
Puzzles, progress, personal statistics, saved artwork and preferences are stored on your device. You do not need a Seekzl account. The app does not request access to your contacts or precise location.
iCloud sync is enabled by default when your Apple account and system settings allow it. Games, personal puzzles, artwork and progress then sync to your account’s private CloudKit database. You can turn off “Sync with iCloud” in Settings → iCloud and Handoff. Preferences, advertising choices and analytics identifiers remain specific to each device. Handoff can transfer the current game between your nearby devices.
If you sign in to Game Center, Apple receives the identifiers and progress needed for achievements. Seekzl stores a player identifier locally to associate the journal with the correct account. Visibility of your profile and activity depends on your Game Center settings.
Personal puzzles and artwork
Themes and definitions are processed by the on-device Apple Intelligence model once the system model has been downloaded. Seekzl does not send your requests to an AI server operated by the publisher. Artwork creation uses Apple’s Image Playground interface; selected results are saved and may sync with iCloud.
Seekzl does not send words, personal themes, prompts, definitions or images to PostHog. When you export an image or video using the share sheet, the content is sent to the destination you choose under that service’s rules.
Analytics and crash reports
Seekzl uses PostHog with a European endpoint to understand usage and diagnose errors: screens viewed, chosen modes and languages, puzzles started or completed, duration, hints, advertising events and technical crash reports. A random installation identifier and device, operating system and app version information accompany this data. It is pseudonymous, not fully anonymous.
These transmissions are enabled by default in the current version. You can disable them in Settings → Privacy and data → Usage analytics → “Help improve Seekzl”. This stops new captures without automatically deleting previously received data. Your personal statistics remain available in My space.
Session recording, automatic interaction capture, person profiles and IP-based geographic enrichment are disabled. The device name is removed and crash reports are filtered. The service necessarily has access to your IP address during network connections. Apple diagnostics also depend on your sharing settings with Apple.
Advertising and tracking choices
Google AdMob serves ads, including rewarded videos you choose to watch. Google may process IP addresses, approximate location inferred from them, technical identifiers, device information, ad interactions and diagnostics to deliver, measure and secure advertising.
Access to Apple’s advertising identifier (IDFA) depends on your iOS tracking permission. Without permission, Seekzl requests non-personalised ads; this does not mean no data is processed. You can change tracking in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Google’s consent form collects advertising choices when required. You can review them through “Advertising privacy” when that option is available in Seekzl. This choice is separate from iOS tracking and PostHog analytics. Refusing tracking does not prevent you from playing the catalogue.
Support, downloads and website
If you use the support form, your name, email address, message and language are sent to our service hosted by Clever Cloud, then delivered through Resend so we can reply and acknowledge receipt. Cloudflare Turnstile checks submissions using technical signals including IP addresses and browser or device information. No game content is automatically attached to your message.
In-app music is downloaded through Apple’s distribution services and then cached. The presentation website has its own hosting and audience measurement, described in the website’s legal information.
Purposes and legal bases
Providing requested services and handling support requests rely on performance of the service. Security, diagnostics and improvements pursue our legitimate interest in providing a reliable app. This interest does not replace prior consent where the law requires it, including for certain device access or analytics processing. Advertising tracking and access to the IDFA rely on your consent.
You may withdraw consent or object to processing based on legitimate interests under the conditions set by law. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. Accepting the terms of use is not blanket consent to data collection.
Recipients and transfers
The publisher and relevant providers access data needed for their roles: Apple, Google AdMob, PostHog, Clever Cloud, Cloudflare and Resend. Apple and Google may also act for their own purposes, described in their policies. Some operations may take place outside the European Economic Area; applicable safeguards are described in providers’ agreements, including adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses where applicable. Retention and deletion
Local saves remain on the device until deleted, including when the app is deleted. iCloud data, Apple backups and Game Center data are managed separately: uninstalling Seekzl or switching off sync does not necessarily remove them.
Technical and analytics retention depends on service settings and the time needed to analyse releases, investigate incidents and follow their resolution. Support correspondence is retained to handle the request and follow-up; legal obligations or a dispute may require additional retention. Turning off transmission does not erase its history. Contact us to request deletion of data we can associate with your use.
Your rights and contacts
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability or objection, and withdraw consent. Write to hello@bitsncoffee.fr. For a pseudonymous installation, we may ask only for information needed to identify it; do not send an identity document unsolicited.
You may complain to the CNIL or your local data protection authority. A parent or legal representative can contact us regarding a minor’s data.
Changes to this notice
This notice may change as Seekzl’s features and providers evolve. The date at the top shows its latest revision. Changes requiring specific information or renewed consent must be handled appropriately; publishing this page does not replace that process.
