The origin
2017 → 2026A relationship born on the audience side of the fence.
In 2017, a post announced a fireworks festival in Compiègne. As a pyrotechnic photographer under the Pyrographik name, I first attended as a spectator. Twice. The third time, I asked for press accreditation.
Over the following years I kept meeting Edouard Grégoire at other shows. As the tenth edition approached, the next step felt natural.
What if the festival’s digital presence finally matched what happens in the sky?
The starting point
A brand to elevate. A small team to protect.
Brand image
Reflect the festival’s artistic standards.
Information
Answer visitors without overloading the team.
Sponsorship
Build a credible platform for the 2026–2029 cycle.
What we built
One ecosystem. Three surfaces.
The website — a brand stage in six languages.
A complete Next.js and Sanity rebuild, hosted on Clever Cloud behind Cloudflare.
The apps — ready for show night, even offline.
SwiftUI for Apple, React Native for Android, with content, tickets, map and programme available offline.
The physical layer — the brand moves beyond the screen.
Pins, magnets, fans, tote bags and clothing: one point of contact from code to merchandise.
The defining decision
Designed to work when the network no longer does.
At 9 pm in a packed racecourse, an app waiting for connectivity is a black poster.
Content synced for offline use
Ticket stored on the device
Programme and ticket on Apple Watch
Map and key locations without a connection
The real difficulty
Making systems talk when they were never designed to.
Ticketing, resale and e-commerce relied on sparsely documented APIs. We specified the need, probed each platform and iterated until every integration became dependable.
The result
From a ticketing website to a platform the festival controls.
Programme, languages, shop and mobile experience now share one foundation.
