The fun starts before the first word.

Wordzl starts with a familiar gesture: shaking a box of dice. Cubes roll, collide and settle into their cells. The board genuinely comes from the shuffle: the game reads the upward-facing side of each die. The phone becomes something to handle before it becomes a board to explore.

A new encounter in every game

Four Masters. Only unique words count.

The Apprentice, The Scholar, Il Professore and The Oracle offer four difficulty levels. Shared words cancel out at the end: winning means finding what your opponent missed. These opponents run locally, without a remote model. Their words are prepared from the board’s solutions and a level-specific pace, without adapting their answers to the player’s words.

Two minutes to play. Or all the time you need.

Choose a two-to-five-minute round or take your time in untimed Lexicon mode. Boards range from 4 × 4 to 7 × 7. Connect neighbouring letters by swiping or tapping. After a round, each word in the results can be traced back across the board: the result becomes a chance to see what you missed.

Find a word. Then remember it.

Daily offers two words to find from their definitions. Discoveries then become vocabulary flashcards with spaced reviews. Apple Foundation Models prepares content on the device, checked against the lexicon, while CloudKit syncs personal progress. Creating new content requires iOS 26 or later and available Apple Intelligence on a compatible device. Saved content avoids relying on generation for every round.

On iPhone & iPad

The game, as you play it.

A word game for iPhone and iPad

That word was there all along.

It starts with a shake of your iPhone.

The dice tumble, bump together and settle into a grid. You trace a path from letter to letter. One word, then another. Suddenly you spot the one that was staring you in the face. That little moment of discovery is what makes you want to shake the dice again.

One more word could change everything.

The word that puts you ahead of your opponent. The one that beats your best score. Each day, players in the same language get the same grid. Same letters, different discoveries. Challenge someone to a duel, climb the leaderboard and add another trophy to your Game Center collection.

Keep a word game within reach.

On the train, on the sofa, between appointments: classic solo goes with you, even offline. Play on iPhone or iPad, make the letters bigger and choose Paper or Nocturne. And when you feel like finding your words in another language, just switch dictionaries.
